"The Other Everton Tower"

I'll wager a bet that there's not too many Evertonians around the world who have their own replica Rupert's Tower in their backyard!

However, there's a saying - "only in America" - and true enough, only in America would you find an exiled Evertonian building such a treasure beside his back garden swimming pool!

 

This is the pictorial tale of Kenny Myers fulfilling his dream...

Believe it or not, there's an Everton Tower behind here! Vince works behind a tarp. Tarp protects pool from weld splatter.

Tower being lathed prior to plastering. Jimmy starting to plaster.

A plastered tower (called "The Blob" at this stage!). Plastered! Plastered!

Jimmy beginning to set corbel stones. Stones placed. Front of tower having stones set.

More stones being set. Wall of tower nearing completion.

Almost there. Only needs final touches. Vince grouts the stones.

Vince applies the finishing touches. Jimmy stands by our work of art. The finished product stands 10 1/2 foot and has a diameter of 6 foot.
